Welcome to the new blog for BYU-Idaho Alumni Ambassadors in the West Region. Francisco and Christine Velasco are your regional reps and they, along with Val Carpenter of the BYU-Idaho Alumni Relations Office, stand ready to help you in your role as Alumni Ambassadors.
To get this blog started of right, please take a few minutes to introduce yourselves. Just some basic information and perhaps information about your time in Rexburg. Also, if you are a blogger, we would love to have a link to your personal blog.We have made this blog private for security purposes.
We will be passing on some of the great ideas we learn from you to the other regional blogs and even share them with all Alumni Ambassadors in our monthly news letter.
Also, please take a few minutes to vote on our poll below. We are looking for a new name for our Alumni On-Line Community.

hello, i am DELIGHTED to be here. my name is Siri Edwards, and i believe i come from a long ways back then the rest of you. i was at ricks in 1988 and graduated after a mission in texas in 1992. it was the most magnificent experience of my life. in fact, i wrote an essay for the spirit of ricks alumni contest last year but missed the deadline. i would like to post that here sometime. i have so much pride being associate with all of you. i have yet to take off and fly with this due to a recent divorce, but this and the gospel with a faith in Christ are truly my anchors. it was maybe 40 degrees. the bus dropped us off from sacramento into rexburg at 300 am. i got off the bus to absolutely no one. i set foot on that campus and i knew right then my life would be changed, that i was in Heavenly Father's loving care, and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true. i was baptized in my teens but was not able to be fully active until Ricks. not sure this is the place for comments. i would love to post a photo. maybe someone can help me out? think the email attached here is eloquentpesantssister@gmail.com.

kind regards to all of you. looks like we are the ground floor of this blog and that is a pleasure too.
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteJohn and I graduated from Ricks back in 98. We loved our time we spent there. We currently live down in Southern California and love having this connection to BYU-I. We are brand new to this and still learning what we can do to help promote this wonderful school. We have 4 kids who we are hoping will also attend BYU-I. Thanks for starting this blog and keeping us connected!
